General Characteristics PVC Blower and Polypropylene Blower
-
NO metal in the air stream -
PVC Blowers suitable for temperatures up to 140 degrees -
Polypropylene Blowers suitable for temperatures up to 190 degrees. However, the speed of the fan and chemical content in the air stream can have the effect of lowering this temperature threshold down to 160-170 degrees. Please call for more information before ordering. -

100,000 hours (11.4) years no grease proprietary bearings for belt drive fans. -
25,000 hour belts available as upgrade upon request -
Whisper Quiet operation.
IPF's PVC and Polypropylene blowers are made according to ISO 9001-2000 and tested for air flow according to ISO 5801 standards. ISO 5801 is the International Standard for air flow and sound testing that is equivalent to AMCA testing and certification for fans.
Our Plastic Blowers are made from Polypropylene s which is a proprietary grade of Polypropylene made by Simona of Germany. This material is classified as flame retardant under the European standard DIN 4102 B1. (See enclosed sheet for more details on DIN 4102 B1 which is generally analogous to UL 94V-0) tests for self extinguishing plastic materials.

Our PVC Blowers and Polypropylene S Blowers are manufactured by a vacumn formed thermoplastic process which ensures high precision components for housing and impeller. This precision design and manufacturing process of our components source in Switzerland is the reason why the quality of the fans is so consistent and why our fans are so quiet.
There is no metal exposed in the air stream as there is a polypropylene nose cones that shields the aluminum clamp adaptor that holds the impeller to the motor or bearing shaft.
Polypropylene S is more flexible than PVC and therefore easier to work with and less prone to be damaged by installation or maintenance error and can accommodate higher temperatures than is the case with a PVC Blower. PVC fans are better suited to certain chemicals in the gas streams such as Chlorine and Nitric Acid.
The CMV-CDD 125-400 series can be mounted with a wide range of motors that meet explosion, spark ignition proof, hazardous duty, and mill and chemical standards as outlined by UL, CSA, ATEX and other internationally recognized codes.
