Centrifugal Blower Fans

The terms are often used interchangeably, but 'blower' typically refers to a unit that operates at higher pressure ratios. Our centrifugal blowers are engineered to generate significant static pressure, making them effective for moving air through complex ductwork, scrubbers, and other systems with high resistance common in industrial chemical ventilation.

Air enters the fan near the center of a rotating impeller. The blades throw the air outwards by centrifugal force, increasing its speed and pressure. The air is then guided into a scroll-shaped casing (volute) which slows it down, further increasing the pressure before it exits the outlet. This design is highly efficient for high-pressure applications.

Our blowers are categorized by material (FRP, PVC, Polypropylene) and drive type. We offer direct drive (CDD), belt drive (CMV), and in-line/roof-mounted (CRDV) models. Each is designed for specific airflow (CFM) and static pressure needs, with options like spark-resistant construction available for hazardous environments.

A DC centrifugal fan is powered by a direct current motor. While common in smaller applications for their efficiency, our industrial-scale blowers use robust AC motors. We offer explosion-proof AC motors to meet the demanding safety and power requirements of heavy industrial facilities and hazardous locations.

'Snail fan' is a common nickname for a centrifugal fan, named for its scroll-shaped housing, or volute, which resembles a snail's shell. This casing is essential for efficiently converting the high-speed airflow from the impeller into a lower-speed, high-pressure output stream, which is characteristic of these fans.

For corrosive environments, plastic and Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) fans offer superior longevity. Unlike metal, they do not rust or corrode when exposed to acids, caustics, and other harsh chemicals. This eliminates the risk of premature failure and contamination of the airstream with metal particles, ensuring reliable, long-term performance.
